My home is full of wonderful aromas: fresh-baked bread, homemade chicken soup, a mustardy vinaigrette for the mixed salad greens.
Yesterday’s shopping trip to PCC enabled me to restock key ingredients for my soups and bread making: fresh seeds like fennel and caraway, rye flour and a special baker’s yeast. Today I enjoy the benefits: a Scandinavian light rye bread with caraway, and tasty chicken soup.
What a wonderful welcome home, after several weeks of living in suitcases and dining out! A refreshing meal, healthy and nutritious, not too heavy before my upcoming 2‑hour yoga class.
It’s all about balance.
