Yesterday was a perfect summer day on Bainbridge Island, just right for a studio tour with close friends. Diane and I spent the day touring most of the studios, chatting with the artists, and dreaming about beautifying our homes with the fine arts and crafts that were on display. We fell in love with a number of the pieces that woodworkers and cabinetmakers were showing, as well as some lovely jewelry.
The studio settings were lovely: nestled in shady gardens, mossy cottages, idiosyncratic sculpture gardens. You could easily visualize muddy Croc shoes by each doorstep.
This video clip shows the funkier side of Bainbridge Island:
Sadly, the photos were taken with my smartphone, and its camera was not working properly. Sorry for the fuzziness.
